Dont update!

I am a fan of NG no doubt about it, but the new update makes it pain in the neck to access the older issues Ive already paid for! I was happier without the updates.
I also have installed new IOS a while ago, and I have to download the earlier issues. Since the issues are big in size, it takes few minutes to download each issue. However when I close it to do other stuffs on ipad, download pauses! So each time I want to download, i get to watch until its complete!!
